Revegetation and Cabon Sequestration
An informative TreeHugger piece discussed the pros and cons of putting carbon back to the degraded landscape by revegtating, which is the only short term (30 years) solution to global warming according to the Soil Carbon report (by a team from Uni of Bond). Soil Carbon also proposed to leave the revegetation job to cattle. Two problems though: 1. the cattle have to be fed first, and 2) methane. But according to the person who left the 2nd comment, neither is an issue if cattle roam around freely and feed on natural vegetation (only corn-eating cows produce heaps of methane?).
