To get rid of GST on excise tax on gasoline because it is a "tax on a tax" is just silly, according to John Quiggin. Because the GST itself is a tax on a tax. Let's see whether Australian politicians is willing to put forward something without support from any economist.

In comparison this is a much better policy.
