Why Intrinsic Value Is a Poor Basis for Conservation Decisions

From BioScience and the arguments are 1) it is difficult to quantify intrinsic value, and 2) instrumental value is much richer concept than people normally think.

I agree with both points but the authors seem to miss one word for their title, "Why Intrinsic Value ONLY Is a Poor Basis for Conservation Decisions".
