- ( Journal of ) Biological Invasion. "Biological Invasions publishes research papers on the patterns and processes of biological invasions (both human-mediated introductions and natural range expansions) in terrestrial, freshwater, and marine (including brackish) ecosystems. Papers concerning: the ecological consequences of invasions relative to alterations in community-ecosystem structure....as well as scholarly papers on management and policy issues as they relate to conservation programs and the global amelioration or control of invasions. The Editor-in-Chief is James A. Drake, University of Tennessee.
- Journal of Economic Entomology. The journal publishes articles on the economic significance of insects and the Editor-in-Chief is John T. Trumble from University of California.
- Australian department of the environment and water resources 's webpage on invasive species, including many links on federal ans state level organizations working in the area.
- Biosecurity New Zealand. "The lead agency in New Zealand's biosecurity system. It is tasked with a "whole of system" leadership role, encompassing economic, environmental, social and cultural outcomes. It also has international trade and animal welfare responsibilities."

Database & publications
- Global invasive species database. It is managed by the Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG) of the Species Survival Commission of the IUCN-World Conservation Union. The GISD was developed as part of the global initiative on invasive species led by the Global Invasive Species Programme (GISP) and is supported through partnerships with the National Biological Information Infrastructure, Manaaki Whenua-Landcare Research, the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, the University of Auckland and private donations.
- Global invasive species information network. "A gateway for information, and here is their factsheet.
- 100 of the world's worst invasive alien species. Funded by La Fondation TOTAL, and part of the Global Invasive Species Database. "Species were selected for the list according to two criteria: their serious impact on biological diversity and/or human activities, and their illustration of important issues surrounding biological invasion.
To ensure the inclusion of a wide variety of examples, only one species from each genus was selected. " - Guidelines for the Prevention of Biodiversity Loss caused by Alien Invasive Species. Published in 2001, prepared by ISSG in collaboration with other experts on alien invasive species and the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law.
- Invasive species specialist group. Part of the Species Survival Commission (SSC) of The World Conservation Union (IUCN). The ISSG is a global group of 146 scientific and policy experts on invasive species from 41 countries. The group's activities focus primarily on invasive species that cause biodiversity loss, with particular attention to those that threaten oceanic islands. ISSG publishes newsletter Aliens and maintains the listserver Aliens-L
- Global Invasive Species Programme. Founded in 1997 by three international organizations: IUCN - The World Conservation Union, CAB International, and the Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE). In early 2005, GISP was constituted as a legal entity with Founding Members IUCN, CAB International, The Nature Conservancy, and the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI). They publish newsletter, reports etc, including several economic reports.
- Centre for Aquatic and invasive Plants, "a multidisciplinary research, teaching and extension unit directed to develop environmentally sound techniques for the management of aquatic and natural area weed species and to coordinate aquatic plant research activities within the State of Florida."
